Privacy Policy

Sportsman Steel Safes, Inc. builds gun safes, vault doors, storm shelters and safe rooms, and sells them factory-direct. This page explains what we do with the information you give us when you use this website, request a quote or call us.

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to give us. There is no account to create on this site and nothing to log in to.

• When you request a quote or contact us. Your name, email address, phone number, and whatever you write in the message, including the product you are asking about and where it would be delivered.
• When you call us. Whatever you tell us on the phone, which we record in our own order and enquiry records.
• When you simply browse. Standard analytics information — which pages were viewed, roughly where in the world the visit came from, what kind of device and browser was used, and which site or search sent you here.

We do not ask for, and this website does not handle, payment card details. Orders are taken over the phone or by invoice.

How we use it

• To answer your question, prepare your quote and arrange delivery.
• To keep our own records of orders and enquiries.
• To understand which parts of the site are useful, so we can improve them.

We do not sell your information, and we do not rent or trade mailing lists.

The services this site uses

A few third-party services run on this website. Each one has its own privacy policy, and each is named here so you know who is involved.

• Cognito Forms hosts the quote and contact form. When you submit it, your details are handled by Cognito Forms and delivered to us.
• Google Analytics tells us how the site is used, in aggregate. It sets cookies in your browser.
• Google Ads measures whether our advertising is working, including whether a visit led to a phone call or a quote request.
• Google Fonts serves the typefaces the site is set in.
• YouTube hosts our product videos. A video only loads once you choose to play it.

Cookies

Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. This site uses them for analytics and advertising measurement, as described above. It does not use them to build a profile of you for anyone else.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. The site will still work. You can also opt out of Google Analytics entirely using Google’s own browser add-on.

How long we keep it

Quote requests and order records are kept for as long as we need them to serve you and to meet our tax and warranty obligations. Analytics information is kept on the retention schedule set in Google Analytics.

Your choices

Write to us at sam@sportsmansteelsafes.com or call 800-266-7150 and we will, on request:

• tell you what we hold about you,
• correct anything that is wrong,
• delete your enquiry from our records, where we are not required to keep it,
• stop contacting you.

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you these rights in law, including the right to know what is collected and the right to ask for it to be deleted. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing for you to opt out of on that front. We will not treat you differently for exercising any of these rights.

Children

This site sells safes and vault doors to adults. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Security

This site is served over HTTPS. We hold enquiry and order records on systems that are limited to the people who need them. No system is perfect, and we will not pretend otherwise — but we do not store card details anywhere, which removes the thing most worth stealing.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will change this page and update the date at the top.
