K-Wool 2300º ceramic is the most protective and
costly fire insulation on the market. Today our
K-Wool ceramic costs 10 times what double wall
fireboard or drywall safes cost, yet our factory

Most gun safe company's standard fireproofing consists
of a mere 5/8" piece of drywall they call "fireboard".
It cost $1.50 and usually gives you a 30 minute
fire rating. Sportsman's INFERNO Fire System consists of an outer layer of steel, a layer of
2300º degree ceramic and a stratum of type-X fireboard.
And let's not forget our COOL GAP. Dozens
of spot welds line the inside steel wall of your
safe, keeping the fire insulation from making
direct contact with the piping hot steel during
a fire.
And remember
a safe with a ¼" door can't do the trick! That
piece of thin steel will heat up immediately and
start baking your insides. Sportsman's doors
are 1" inch thick, constructed from double steel,
double gaskets and are fire insulated as well.
And if a Sportsman safe is ever caught in
a fire, we will give you a replacement safe free
of charge!
